Maharashtra Solar Subsidy for Societies, Trusts, and Non-Profit

Societies, Trusts, and Non-Profit Organisations in Maharashtra can now avail solar subsidy under  Maharashtra Energy Development Agency ( MEDA ) scheme. Under this scheme organisations which are tax exempted will receive upto 30% of subsidy on the cost of rooftop solar PV system installed.  A 10kW rooftop PV solar system typically requires 10,000 sq ft of shadow free area, produces on an average 40-45 units in a day, and has a benchmark cost of approximately  ₹4.5 lacs . Procedure to get Solar Subsidy in Maharashtra: Eligible customers such as residential societies, schools, universities, etc should first identify their solar project developer and issue purchase order.
